Recently, I gave blood at St Dominic’s school in Harpenden, where the NHS had a blood donor centre.
For those who haven’t done it, let me tell you what it is like. It is quick, barely hurts (like a small prick in your arm for half a second), and goes to people who really need it to save their life.
As the son of an anaesthetist in St Albans, I grew up knowing the importance of blood donors to our NHS, and I always remember that most if not all of us will need blood at some point – please do consider signing up to be a blood donor. Visit blood.co.uk for details!
