Delivering better local health care

Bim meeting senior staff at Addenbrooke's Hospital

As the son of a local doctor and pharmacist, Bim knows first hand the importance of a strong, easily accessible and reliable health care system.

Bim is working with the Government to tackle NHS waiting lists and backlogs from the pandemic. This will ensure that you can get guaranteed access to your local GP within a reasonable timeframe and access to wider services when you need them. It is vitally important that everyone in our community can see their GP, so Bim is campaigning to ensure that rural GP provision is protected and enhanced.

The Government is investing £1bn in a new hospital in West Hertfordshire. Bim will work to ensure that Hitchin & Harpenden residents get the most value from this new investment. He will also continue to support plans for new specialist children’s and cancer hospitals in Cambridge which would benefit the people of this constituency, and our region as a whole.
