Improving rural connectivity and services

Bim meeting with Openreach

Connectivity is vitally important in our rural area. It enables local people to quickly connect with people across the world and move easily around our towns and villages.

Working with Ministerial colleagues, Bim is delivering superfast full-fibre broadband to communities across Hitchin & Harpenden as quickly as possible. Rural communities face greater obstacles to this roll-out, but Bim is working hard to raise any barriers with the Government to ensure that these can be tackled quickly and effectively.

Bim also wants to deliver 10 per cent more rural bus services in our constituency, building on the good work already done with nearly £30m of Government funding to improve bus services in Hertfordshire.
