Engaging with Constituents

Bim meeting a resident

As well as my work in Westminster, I am an engaged local constituency MP. I live in the heart of the constituency and I enjoy getting out and meeting local people as often as possible. I regularly knock on doors; hold Town Centre Surgeries, Pub Surgeries or House Meetings; attend local fetes and events; visit local schools, businesses, charities and community groups; give residents tours of the Houses of Parliament; and more. Every week more than 3000 local residents receive a detailed update through my e-newsletter about some of my activities that week.

I represent over 70,000 voters spread across 21 parishes and 1 unparished Town and I try to speak to and hear from as many of you as I can. Each week my team and I respond to around 500 letters or emails from constituents – which can range from very serious casework issues to broader policy matters. Where I can I try to reply individually and often by hand.

On this page you can some recent examples of this work and if you need help on any issue, you can get in touch with me using the details at www.bimafolami.co.uk/contact
