One year ago a new Chancellor of the Exchequer stood to deliver his first budget and promised, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, to do everything to keep people healthy and financially secure.
This government has delivered on that promise, with one of the most generous support packages in the world, comprising £407 billion of support for families, jobs and businesses across this year and next.
