The Budget had some really good news for our high streets – 90% of our retailers will benefit from a cut in business rates of 1/3. When I spent the afternoon shopping in Harpenden last week, I spoke to many of our retailers who said that this will really help.
I greatly enjoyed going to the River Lea in Wheathampstead with the Herts & Middlesex wildlife trust. I am working with them to help support our chalk rivers – a very rare asset – and the River Lea is a wonderful example.

I visited the beautiful Heartwood Forest, on the edge of Sandridge, with representatives from the Woodland Trust. We are incredibly lucky to have almost 1,000 acres of beautiful woodland in our constituency.
